​September 19th
​

1971...Dave Humphrey (McCarthy 47) led a quartet of veterans at Thompson. Following Humphrey were Len Thrall (Secondo  31), Russ Klar (Nagy 9) and Len Duncan (Ferguson 7), each one in their fourth decade of racing.

September 20th

2008...Bobby Santos III (Santos 98) was the clear winner as Beech Ridge hosted NEMA’s 900th race. Santos grabbed the lead after a mid-race battle with sister Erica. Joey Payne (Angelillo 45) was second with Jeff Abold (Seymour 29), Adam Cantor (Cantor 7ny) and Erica (Breault 44) following.

September 21st

1991...Mike Favulli (Favulli 80) had to beat back challenges from both Nokie and Drew Fornoro before claiming a 25-lap win at Star. Nokie (Vuolo 12)  and Drew (Angelillo 45) were second and third ahead of Bobby Seymour (Seymour 4) and Joey Coy (Kibbe 14).

September 23rd

1973...With a 25-lap win at Star in the Daniel #10, Rick Hart became the first second-generation NEMA driver to grab a checkered. Hart, who joined his dad Bob on the win list, beat Dave Humphrey (47) and George Monson (Miller 3). There are presently eight second generation winners on the list: Joey and Johnny Coy Jr., Billy Mann, Johnny Evans, Avery and Bethany Stoehr and Mike Horn joining Hart.

September 24th

1961...Dick Brown put the finishing touches on a second straight championship from himself and for owner Al Monast with a victory in the season finale at Thunder Road. It was the third straight win for Brown. Len Thrall and Joe Csiki joined Brown on the podium.
