2018 Dick Gallagher Memorial Hall of Fame
Doug Cleveland
No NEMA driver in history has turned more laps than this racer. He was the pilot of the country's last competitive badger, the last to wear an open faced helmet, and has accumulated over 150 top ten finishes and counting in his 40 plus year career with the club, including a storybook feature win for a fellow NEMA legend.

We are proud to present a new feature on NEMAHistory.com!
Thanks to a longtime fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, we have shared their fantastic project - a NEMA race for almost every date from the last week in March to the first week in October. For example... Sept. 15, 1962 - King Carpenter, in the Smiley Golden Arrow #60, passed Joe Csiki (Csiki 22) and went on to win a 100 lapper at Seekonk. Roger Bailey passed Csiki at the halfway point to claim third. ...There is something like this for almost every single day! |

In an effort to honor all the great racers in the Dick Gallagher Memorial Hall of Fame, each month we will feature a selected member to share there story and accomplishments. This will include a biography, pictures, memorable quotes, and anything else we can add with your help. We need NEMA fans and members - past and present, to help us by sharing pictures and sharing their stories about that person. For the month of April, we are pleased to honor Wen Kelley.

We are currently looking for volunteers to be part of this endeavor - the NEMA History Committee. We are looking for your ideas, your knowledge, and your time.
The goals of the committee is to develop over time a digital museum that honors NEMA's past, gives yesterday's members a place to remember the great times, and more importantly educate today's members on the amazing people who made NEMA what is today.
This website will be developed and monitored by the volunteers of the NEMA History Committee.
Thanks, Matt & Dennis O'Brien
